Well, there’s a bit of news that I wasn’t expecting – Arch Enemy have announced that Angela Gossow is stepping down as vocalist and will be replaced by Alyssa White-Gluz.
I’m a bit disappointed, since I’ve been looking forward to seeing Arch Enemy play at Alt-Fest this summer, and I’d have liked to see them with Gossow in the line-up at least once. However, it’s hard for me to think of a better replacement than Alyssa White-Gluz. I’ve seen her perform with Kamelot, and she can growl like nobody’s business and has fantastic stage presence.
I’m glad that the line-up change was amicable, and wish both Gossow and White-Gluz the best in their new endeavors.
