Stumbling in the Dark Episode 005: Greek Metal

Stumbling in the Dark Episode 005: Greek Metal

For this episode, I decided to do something a little different, and focus on music from one country: Greece. I can’t claim to be an expert in Greek heavy metal, but I’ve been exploring the country’s music for the past few months, and it’s got a whole crop of bands with very distinctive sounds.

I’d love to hear from listeners about what you think of this episode. Did I miss your favorite Greek band? Tell me about them! Should I do podcasts focused on other countries or parts of the world? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Here’s the playlist:

  1. The Reptile Gods by Nightfall
  2. Master, Faster, Sweet Desaster by Nightfall
  3. Brotherhood of the Fallen Knights (Live) by Septic Flesh
  4. Athanati Este by Rotting Christ
  5. Χ Ξ Σ (666) by Rotting Christ
  6. Ancient Pride by Necromantia
  7. Hecate Unveiled by Thou Art Lord
  8. Pain by Inactive Messiah
  9. Obsession by On Thorns I Lay
  10. Dreamchaser by Firewind
